Notes on my experiences with DATV Express Transmitter Software

I played with the different modulator settings, for our operation the 2.222 MS/s symbol rate is right where we want to be. We are running at FEC of 3/4
We can probably run lower FEC rates but I am not sure what the IRD Reciever on MT Diable is willing to be happy with. Lower FEC rates such as 2/3 or 1/2
seem to yeild slightly lower bandwidth emissions.
One inseresting thing, in the CODEC tab there is a setting for the amount of CPU loading. This value correlates to the CPU power being accessed Ultra Fast is the lowest
loading the DATV Express Software taxes the CPU with, the SLOWEST setting is using the most power from CPU... kind of wonky
I am fairly happy with the setup and operation so far. More to follow...
